Pencil case hat, take two.

tada. Finished another pencil case hat...its a lil small...as in..deepness. But i can fix that later. So yes. Photos of me showinf off teh hat, and of me being silly. And you have been able to view this sillyness thansk to teh build in web camera thingy in my NEW COMPUTER! yes thats right its finally arrived, my Mac Book *swoon* and its purple! love it so much!

Anyhoo this hat has been knit all in slip-one-knit-one ribbing, very fancy. And ive been thinking of a way to make a Pencilcase hat in the round. So keep and eye out for a new pattern on my website. Hmm.

Thats all i can think of writing right now....Untill nex time.

hello everyone...zombie Jenny here, sorry its been so long since I updated...my computer died and I now need to use this lame...dell...pc....hate hate hate.

Not much kntting knews this time around, except that I gave my pencil-case hat to mu cousin Ruby :P and am planning to make a pretty new one.

college is a bit crazy...and for our amrican readers, college is grades 11 and 12 here, and runs sort of like a mini-university. I love my IT class, and have to kind of help teach teh class at times :/ teh teacher changes so much we no longer have one who actually knows HTML *unimpressed*. I have learnt to hate Divs with a great passion, as well as beat them into submission and turn them into my bitch! *shakes fist*

Cold weather is making my joints go nuts so not much knitting is being done. But a great oppertunity to show up kitted-opjects! Woot! I spend much of my time in my bed with the electric blanket on :P

Oh and this long weekend we are going to SYDNEY! Well the brther type creture has already headed up, me mum and dad are going on sunday! BIG CONERT WOOO!! At leats for me and the brother being! Shihad! Cog and fort!!! *happy excited jenny*

what else is new...oh yes the wool fest! that was super fun, we even got reconized by someone because of Lulu! how cool? i also got 500grams of merino fleece :D *spins around*

well i didnt sleep last night, and today was pretty hectic and not very pleasant, so thats all from zombie jenny for now!

So, at the SnB at the club last night, i came to realize..PEOPLE ACTUALLY READ MY BLOG....so im going to try a little harder to post more. Weather this will work or not is a different story.

Like any self respecting knitter, I have modified the pattern to what I want. Instead of the SUPER PRETTY CRAZY MIND MELTING cables up the arm, I have decided (with advice from Mother God) to just continue with the cuff pattern. I'm very pleased with how it looks, even if you can't see the stitch definition very easily in the pictures :P

Demon Knit Designs

Its a big post this time around folks...i have lots of stuff..pictures i might not post *here* but i will post on..my website :O

thats right folks the long awaited "demon designs" isfinally starting...

you see we are learning HTML at school...so of course i came home and am about 1000 x ahead of my class just by learning on my own. I even learnt how to use an FTP (file transfer protocol) program thingy and my friend GAVE me a url thingy! He said he got a large one for his friends to use but none ever do, so i have my own spot on his server :3 he has also been a bit like a tutor, its cool cos its just on MSNN hehe.

dont worry mum u are still.going to be my MAIN tutor and guide when it come to HTML ;3

Woot Woot again

Im knittng again... like lots. i know its hard to believe , but its true.

Im working on my jumper again, i have been commissioned to make a where's wally beanie, for a friend called, yep, wally. So im thinking a red, ribbed brim, long enuf to fold up....mmm any ideas?

Listening to cast on again too, much fun. Reading Small Godds, by Terry Pratchett, slowly :P

feeling that need to knit so many things, and feeling like there isn't enough time! in the day, week, months, year!!! eep.

anyway, trying to finish this sweater/jumper, so i can put it on when im cold, because thats what it will be for :P

True Story

Some of you may already know about this....but there IS such a thing...as mini sheep!

Their official name is Olde English Miniature Babydoll Southdown Sheepp....a big name for a small sheep. Their fleece is a short staple, but also fine...plus they are so cute!





thats my story so far...with cute pictures... Oh yeah , i have looked at a few information websites, and www.mylittlesheep.com is a pretty good site, according to me anyway...i have many many more pictures that will appear over time :P i like how their little faces look like Lulu. I am still looking around for a sign of a breeder in Australia :P

i havnt been knitting much due to really bad joint pain, not just the heat.

just got test results from a glutose tollerance test i did yesterday...and well...just... Fuck. Diabeties is highly probable right now. I will see doc tomorrow to see what the answers mean.

drugs i have been on for 3 months have done basically nothing. increasing dosage.

all this week except Friday i have some form of docters appointment.

i have more projects OTN that i 1st thaught..... So again no pictures yet.
I have a beanie i am making out of my own hand spunn, a nautie thingy from Knitty.com, you know the ones, the toys of the curly things.....anyway, that and a thin scarf and a heat pack (now being made for myself)...um and i am working on writing a pattern for my Pencil Case Hat, it needs working on.

BUT

the main thing i am working on right now is... A JUMPER! yes!! i will have more details and stuff later, but riight now i am too sleepy. I did not sleep at all ast night (thats why this is so early even though its school hols). So the grammer and spelling are even worse today, sorry about that.

Oh yes THANK YOU Miss.P. for the fleece (it was all spunn up in less than two days) and the carders anhd everything!! i have been mixing fleece together and un-spinning some of my really chunky yarn i 1st spunnn that wasnt getting used. So yeah you are a life savor Miss.P. thank you! Oh and the green yarn is now a lovely cable head band and some left over for a matching pare of wrist warmers i think :3

Ok i have been lazy - real lazy - fact is i am not doing this blog to entertain people, more just myself :P

Now i am still too lazy to post pistures - but i had my 15th last month and gos awsome stuff! Like a drop spindle - lots of yarn and stuff to spinn with - yaaaay

so i have been spinning yarn and learning to ply well etc. Miss Penny taught me ow to ply on the spinning wheel!! Very exciting. She also gave me a DEVINE dress which is now my formal dress w00t.

oooh oooh I'm soooo proud! I knitted a glove WITH OUT A PATTERN!!
I did it all from memory of lace up fingerless glove, and it WORKED!

I LOVE IT!!! Its done in like sock-yarn, so now I can use some sockyarn for things...hehehe. I will knit it differently next time, make it fit better etc etc. And maybe black ribbon,ooo or I could cast on with like black Marino and yeaaah.. But man I'm so proud. I knitted it off the top of my head, and it worked....Like, o-m-g guys.

Miss Penny gave me gifts! I can only find one atm so I cant show u my sock. I got a sock pattern that's really awesome, plus the yarn to knit it! Its pink and purple and really pretty and I love it...So I have knitted one of those, and two others in red for my mum on Mother's Day yay.
my yarn sister also gave me some kool boucle ! This I have pictures of.


one has ears because of my dog. So yeah that's 1 of 2 skeins. Yay for me. Thank you soooo much Pen oxox

I was sad to find that I don't actually have a nice decent scarf.. So I started to knit one! 50sts double rib, I call it "Lips" because of the colour.



I got this from the last SnB - isn't it amazing? Its cotton, the colour on here isn't very accurate to real life, but u get the idea. I even have enough to make a top or something...Its sooo nice...I cant believe I got it for free....I love the swaps basket!



Tada, I think its done. I don't know if ill felt it, if I do ill knit more links, but until then I still wear it anyway. Its a great thing to show off your 1337 knitting skillzo0rz :P People get very impressed by it



TADA cat ears! [I love this picture] This is 100% my own pattern, I didn't use a pattern from a book for the ears and stuff. Its the left over black Marino 10 ply from my cat hat [still need to find that]
The band is 10sts wide, seed st.

There are two types of ears. Type A is shown above, and Type B is different only slightly.

TYPE A EARS


ears [make 4]
CO 12
row1; k to end
row2,4,6,8: [RS] k1, ssk, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1
row3,5,7: [WS] p to end
row8: k1,ssk,k2tog,k1
row9: p to end
row10: ssk, k2tog
row11: k2tog
BO remaining st

Finishing
u knit 4 of these ear 'bits' and Sew 2 together, with both RSs on the out side, leave the bottom open.

So now you have to empty ears, put a little bit of stuffing in them, only the smallest amount, and sew the ears onto the headband how ever you want. You might need someone to help you place them in front of a mirror, so u get them just how you want.


TYPE B EARS

Knit like TYPE A, except of doing SSKs just do k2tog

The ones above are done in seed st instead of St st like above. But it doesn't really matter.
Type be picayune the ear has been sewn together with blanket St, and the back is black, and the front is white. These also don't have stuffing, I recommend it because it give the ear more body and they stand up better.

weave in ends etc and then u have cat ears! Yah

we have to write a creative writing piece for English ,and I have had such a bad time trying to think of what to write. So I just started to write about what ever came to mind, and I got this!

I was just laying in the sun purring after a nice lap of milk, when my content snoozing was disturbed by something rolling past. At first i thought, who dares interrupt my dozing?! So i opened my eyes to find out who did dare, when i saw what it was. Yarn.
I just couldn’t help it! I couldn’t take my eyes off the gorgeous, rich, forest green yarn! It looks so soft! So much you could do, hats, lace up gloves, hand bag, toys oooh the possibilities.
POUNCE!
Wheeee! Infixed in the purity of a green globe of wool, made all from a single strand of fiber. Single stand! You can manipulate it how ever you want to make amazing things.
Purrrr
it feels so soft,on my cheek, between my toes, through my fingers, into my imagination....
Meow
I day dream and play with my yarn for hours. I awake from my trance to find i can’t actually move anymore. Problematic, what could be causing my constriction?! Ah yes, now i remember my antics with afore mentioned yarn. It wasn’t so much a ball anymore, but a giant tangle, with me in it.
Paw
I start to struggle around, my lust now becoming my potential doom! I could bite my way out, but i do not want to ruin such purrrrfect twine!
Yawn
But is this so bad? Surrounded by such sweet sweet fiber. So warm...so....sleepy....so comfortable....
